Microsoft Is Doing Its Own Tablet. How Do You Like Them Apples?

This strange headline came from a news story on All things D ( about Microsoft's announcement that they would be entering the tablet business more directly (that's electronic tablets, not pharmaceuticals).  It's a jokey use of an idiomatic expression, "How do you like them apples?", which Americans say when they want to ask someone's opinion of something, "What do you think of that?", whilst expecting a negative response.  They used this idiom because of course the most successful tablet manufacturer is Apple.
