About the Magazine

Welcome to the English Magazine

The English Magazine, is a free English magazine full of regularly updated content.  From articles on travel, sport, language and culture to jokes, cartoons, tests and games.

All the articles have a dictionary look-up, just double-click on any word and you'll see its definition (pop-ups must be enabled for this feature).   You can also listen to many of the poems, tongue twisters and jokes.

Only members can add content, so if you wish to contribute to the magazine in any way please become a member.   Other benefits of membership include access to extra content.

The English magazine was developed as a free educational resource for ESL / EFL learner's and teachers, but anyone can enjoy it. It is part of the Learn English Network, which includes the free to use websites Learn English | Learn English Online | Have Fun with English | The English Forum and A Fact A Day.

• Use in the classroom - Please feel free to print off any of the material for classroom use.  There is a print option on each page and all content can be downloaded as a pdf document.
• For people with sight problems - you can resize the text using the A buttons.
• Please do not republish any of the material in any form.
• If you're desperately looking for an article, recipe or something you "know" was here last year, it's probably in the Archives.
• You can also advertise on the Network.
